Title IV-E Program

Social Work students in Professional Standing with a junior or senior status may be eligible for a $6500 Child Welfare Stipend/Scholarship. Six stipends will be awarded.
Students interested in applying for one of the child welfare stipends must meet the following qualifications:
- Must be in professional standing status within the social work program
- Must be graduating in either Fall of 2017 or Spring of 2018 semesters
- Must have completed or will complete, by the time of internship, the 3 child welfare courses, including; Social Work 202, Social Work 306 and Social Work 307
Applicants awarded stipends must commit to working for the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services for twelve months following graduation. Students wishing to go directly to graduate school may defer their commitment.
