Interested in becoming a LCWTA trainer? 

The Louisiana Child Welfare Training Academy (LCWTA) is committed to providing a comprehensive array of training and professional development opportunities to child welfare staff and system stakeholders, including legal and community partners. Our philosophy is strengths based, family centered, and trauma-informed. We are always interested in partnering with child welfare and community subject matter experts to develop and deliver high-quality, competency-based training and professional development programs. 

In general, we are seeking individuals with the following qualifications:

  • Three or more years’ experience working within the child welfare system; and
  • Demonstrated expertise in training, education, public speaking, or curriculum development.
