Child Welfare Consultant
Tracy Hoggatt is a Child Welfare Consultant in the Training Unit for the Department of Children and Family Services. She received her undergraduate degree in Social Work from the University of Louisiana at Monroe (formally Northeast Louisiana University) in 1988 and her master’s degree in Social Work from Grambling State University in 2006. She is currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board Approved Clinical Supervisor. Mrs. Hoggatt has over 30 years of social work experience working in medical social work and child welfare. As a worker, she worked in the capacities of Child Protective Services and Foster care. She has also worked as a supervisor and manager in Monroe Region DCFS with the following programs: Child Protective Services, Family Services, Foster Care, Adoption, Home Development and IV-E. The majority of her 22 years in child welfare has been with families in rural north Louisiana. As a supervisor and manager, she routinely provided presentations to the community related to mandated reporting, child abuse and neglect, and foster parent certification as well as training for staff on topics to enhance worker’s practice. She as co-instructed Model Approach to Partnership in Parenting (MAPP) for foster parent certification.
