Children's Advocacy Coordinator - LCADV
Nicolette is the Children’s Advocacy Coordinator for the Louisiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence (LCADV). While at LCADV, she became a certified Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE) Educator through the Louisiana ACE Initiative (East Baton Rouge Cohort). Nicolette has a Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Studies from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She is formerly the Forensic Interviewer at Hearts of Hope: A Children’s Advocacy Center in Lafayette, Louisiana. After leaving Hearts of Hope, she worked for the Lafayette District Attorney’s Office: 15th JDC Specialty Court Division as the Job Readiness Coordinator. In this position, Nicolette provided job readiness skills and training to clients suffering with substance abuse issues. She also worked as a mental health specialist, providing school and home based counseling services to children that suffered with emotional, mental, and behavioral issues. Nicolette has over 10 years of experience working directly with children and families that experienced crisis related trauma.
