Courtney graduated undergraduate in 2012 with a degree in Social Work from ULM. She was a IVE stipend student and was hired on with DCFS June of 2012. She has continued her career with DCFS, but wanted to further her education. In July 2018, she was selected for the Child Welfare Employee NSW Educational Support Program and began her journey to obtain her MSW. February 2019, she found out she was pregnant after 3.5 years of trying. She finished her MSW working full time, with a NEWBORN and a 3.44 GPA! She believes that "You can do anything you set your mind to do."
