I was born in Louisiana, and I grew up in Louisiana. In 1998, I worked for the Department of Children and Family Services in Louisiana for one year. I then moved to Delaware and worked in the field of child welfare for 20 years. I returned to Louisiana in the fall of 2019 and have been with Northwestern State University of Louisiana since!

- I consider myself quite lucky in that, during the wintertime, I live on Front Street in Natchitoches, Louisiana, and am able to really enjoy all the festivals, parades, and fireworks!
