Dr. Torin Sanders is a native of the Bronx, New York. He attended Howard University and later pursued graduate degrees in social work at Tulane University. He has served in a number of nonprofits including Kingsley House, Children's Bureau, and Volunteers of America. He is currently an Associate Professor of Social Work at SUNO. His areas of interest are child mental health, grief and trauma, family therapy, Black males, and public education, having formerly served as an elected member of the Orleans Parish School Board.
