In partnership with the LCWTA and DCFS The Pelican Center provides interdisciplinary and cross-system training for legal and judicial staff, foster parents, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), DCFS staff and other child welfare stakeholders.

 

Training activities include Court Improvement Program (CIP) training and education programs on specialized topics and child welfare conferences, including, but not limited to, the annual, statewide "Together We Can" child welfare training conference in accordance with and as may be allowable under Title IV-E of the Social Security Act and the Louisiana DCFS State Training Plan with the goal of improving global outcomes for children.
