The course is designed to provide new workers with a basic overview of court and child welfare. Child welfare workers will be provided with practical tips on how to prepare for court and succeed with this aspect of their position. More in-depth court trainings will be provided in subsequent trainings.

- Demonstrate an understanding of the case worker's responsibility in court

- Demonstrate an understanding of the different types of Child Welfare court hearings

- Demonstrate an understanding of the different participants in court and their role

- Demonstrate an understanding of how to prepare for court.
