Beyond improving the quality and integrity of service provision, child welfare professionals will want to be knowledgeable about the code and ethical decision-making skills to protect themselves and their agencies from liability. The law can be ambiguous in many of the complex situations that arise in child welfare. This course provides the primary principles governing ethical decision-making. Trainees will be allowed time to review information to enhance their awareness of moral principles and be provided with opportunities to apply them.
