The course objective is to provide interested/licensed DCFS staff with the current policy, review legal requirements and best practice tips for conducting surrender counseling with DCFS involved parents seeking to surrender their parental rights.

The course ppt will be provided along with the Volunteer Surrender Counseling Form that is completed by the volunteer after completion of the Moodle training and is sent to the DCFS foster care email: DCFS.fostercare@.la.gov
