Scholars must complete this course to ensure stipend recipients clearly understand their rights, responsibilities, and financial/employment obligations before signing the contract and at the commencement of their internship.

The goal of this course is to:

• Introduce the Title IV-E program and its mission.

• Emphasize that the contract is a legally binding agreement between the student, NSU, and DCFS.

• Ensure every scholar knows what they're agreeing to and what could require repayment.
