Dr. Ora Rice holds a doctoral degree from LBU (Shreveport, Louisiana) in Philosophy with a focus in Christian Counseling. She is a two-time graduate of Grambling State University with a BS Degree in Business Administration and a MSW in Social Work. Dr. Rice has a grandeur of specialized training: Mediation, Grief Facilitation, Child Welfare Federal Reviewer, Policy Governance, Leadership Training, Retention Training and Competency Base Interviewing and is a two-term Board member (9-years) for the Northwest Human Services District.
Dr. Ora is a retired District Manager for DCFS and served as a trainer and Consultant for the department. She currently serves on the staff at Grambling State University as a Lecturer and Title IV-E Child Welfare Workforce Development Coordinator. Her part-time and post retirement opportunities have led Dr. Ora down many paths in the Social work field. Her passion is training and pouring into the lives of others.
