About the Course
This course is a part of the "Foster Parent Training: An In-Depth Exploration of Advanced Topics. Trainings will provide in-depth discussion of topics relevant for providing developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive, care for children involved with the child welfare system.
Learning objectives:
Participants will be able to identify the key components of the Circle of Security intervention reviewed in this training.
Participants will be able to define attachment and give 3 examples of attachment behaviors observed in children.
Participants will be able to identify the difference between safe haven and secure base behaviors and give examples of each.
Participants will understand the impact of childhood maltreatment on behaviors discussed in this training.
