About the Course
This course is a part of the "Foster Parent Training: An In-Depth Exploration of Advanced Topics. Trainings will provide in-depth discussion of topics relevant for providing developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive, care for children involved with the child welfare system.
Learning objectives:
Participants will be able to understand the importance of providing a developmentally appropriate narrative for children regarding life events or when life changes occur.
Participants will be able to identify who should provide the narratives and when they should occur based on the needs of the child.
Participants will be able to identify roadblocks to providing narratives as well as to identify how to address these roadblocks.
