About the Course
Child Welfare Worker Safety covers professional worker safety principles and guidelines, vulnerability of child welfare workers, and planning for risk prevention.
Participants will be able to describe and apply the four A's of safety:
Awareness
Assessment of risk
Anticipation of risk
Action (de-escalation techniques)
At the end of the training, participants will have increased their knowledge regarding how to be safer in the community and in the office while meeting their everyday work demands.
The training is based on the Worker Safety for the Child Welfare Professional developed by the New Jersey Child Welfare Collaborative.
