Ronisha Johnson is a dedicated social worker with over a decade of experience in diverse roles. Her passion for children and families, workforce development and social justice is evident. Her unique perspective as a former foster child continually drives her commitment to empowering the most vulnerable populations and advocating for systemic change.


As a Learning and Development Consultant at the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services, Ronisha is actively involved in professional development, curriculum design, and career coaching. She is committed to fostering a culture of equity and inclusion as well as emphasizing the importance of self-care in the workplace through various initiatives, including wellness groups and training programs. Ronisha embodies the importance of integrating those with lived experiences into the child serving profession and often shares her experiences from both sides of the proverbial desk.


Previously, Ronisha served as a Training Manager and Adjunct Professor at Southern University, where she bridged the gap between academia and practice. She played a pivotal role in establishing student-alumni mentorship programs and delivered impactful courses on social justice and trauma-focused interventions. A graduate of both the undergraduate (2011) and graduate level (2015) Social Work programs within the Southern University System, Ronisha proudly proclaims "anywhere there are people, there is a need for a social worker".


Ronisha's unique blend of clinical expertise and personal experience drives her passion to improve the lives of abused and neglected children through awareness, education, and advocacy.
