Patsy Johnson's career encompassed numerous skills that helped her gain significant mastery in many areas of child welfare. She began her career in Child Welfare as a first-line worker. Patsy gained experience in the following programs: Child Protection, Foster Care, Home Development, Adoptions, and Training. She has experience as a trainer, supervisor, manager, and Training Director for the Department of Children and Family Services.
Patsy has designed, developed, and facilitated numerous workshops on Team Building, Diversity Equity and Inclusion, Ethics, Self-care, Customer Services, Trauma, Public Speaking, True Colors, and more.
She works with the Title IV-E Program, which focuses on recruiting, training, and supporting students interested in child welfare. Patsy is passionate about impacting the training of the next generation of Social Workers and is excited to have an opportunity to give back.
Patsy received a bachelor's degree from Southern University in Baton Rouge and her Master's of Social Work degree from Clark Atlanta University. She is a licensed clinical social worker and a board-approved clinical supervisor.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, scrapbooking, cooking, and spending quality time with friends and family.
