CCDM Field Leadership Training/CCDM Checkpoints & Huddles
The CCDM Leadership/Checkpoints and Huddles training is for all leaders in child welfare with staff utilizing the CCDM process and conducting huddles. In Module 1:CCDM Leadership Training, you will learn the key objectives of the CCDM process, critical process guidelines and how to best support staff in consulting cases with the CCDM team. In Module 2: Checkpoints and Huddles, you will learn principles of case flow management, how to conduct effective daily huddles and how to utilize the daily huddle report in your supervisory role.

CPR Refresher
Developed through a partnership with LCWTA and Vivo CPR, this course is designed to support the first aid knowledge and skills of all stakeholders. The course provides all stakeholders with a review of the essential steps for administering CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) on unresponsive infants, children, and adults. Participants of this course will also review how to provide emergency assistance to choking infants, children, and adults.
Learning Objectives:
- Know the steps and techniques for administering adult, child, and infant CPR when needed
- Grasp complex components of administering high-quality CPRGive effective breaths by using mouth-to-mouth for all age groups
- Familiarize yourself with an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and how to use it
- Recognize when to help a choking adult, child, or infant

CPS Specialized Second Shift Training Program
The CPS Specialized Second Shift training provides fundamental knowledge and skills needed for after-hours Child Welfare service delivery. The course provides information to introduce new Second Shift Child Welfare staff to the requirements, daily tasks, and duties of DCFS Child Protective Services program.

During this interactive course, you will learn the different time frames that are expected for completion of required investigation activity in CPS investigations. We will discuss the different types of In-Home and Out of Home safety plans. We will also talk about court intervention on CPS cases that require a transfer to Family Services or Foster Care. Lastly, we will discuss activities for case closures.

Car Seat Safety
This course is designed to educate foster parents how to properly install rear facing and forward facing car seats, proper belt positioning on booster seats, vehicle car seats and installing child safety seats with the overall goal of improving child safety and preventing injury. Installation and best practices are reviewed.
