Information Gathering
Staff will review and analyze information to determine the sufficiency of information for a deeper learning of family dynamics. In addition staff will identify, obtain and document missing information through reviewing interviews of all household members, out of home parent and collaterals through open ended questions rather than applying compliance based measures. The purpose of this course is to build a foundation of critical thinking that will be applied during the entire case assessment and decision making.

Innovative Solutions for Heroes Protecting Children and Families from Child Sexual Abuse
This two day, in person training will focus on navigating the complex dynamics of child sexual abuse (CSA) allegations in child protective services cases. It will translate research into practice by discussing CSA facts versus assumptions and the key elements of trauma-informed responses. We will address strategies for successfully engaging caregivers to enhance the investigative process and ways of fostering resilience. Above all, this interactive training is an opportunity for child welfare workers to bring their most challenging real-world questions to the table and leave with new tools in their toolbox.

Integration Audits for ACESS
This 2 hour training is designed to educate Child Protective Services (CPS) staff regarding Integration Audit errors which are sometimes encountered when working in ACESS investigation cases. The purpose of the training is to also educate staff in clearing integration audit errors in ACESS which will lead to correct and clean data that will ultimately be converted to the forthcoming UNIFY system. This training will also serve as an ACESS refresher which will lead to staff creating fewer integration errors within their investigation cases.

Intercept Intensive In-Home Services
This course is intended to prepare CPS, FS, and FC Case Managers for a new intensive in-home based program to prevent out of home placement or to reduce the amount of time children spend in Foster Care when removal is warranted. This course will provide an in depth look at the Intercept Model, the referral process, any additional requirements, and case management services regarding the model.
